California State Board of Pharmacy

Strategic Goals Status Reports

The Board of Pharmacy is a consumer protection agency, mandated to oversee those who dispense, store, ship and handle prescription drugs and devices to patients and practitioners in California.   The board performs its activities within the parameters described in its strategic plan.  The plan is divided into five areas, each within the purview of a committee – Enforcement, Communication and Public Education, Licensing, Legislation and Regulation, and Organizational Development.  Board meetings are organized around the activities assigned to each of these committees.

At each board meeting, each committee provides a quarterly status report on the board’s activities and progress towards its strategic and ongoing objectives.  Copies of these quarterly status reports can be located in the meeting materials of each board meeting, within each committee’s materials. Go to our Board and Committee Meetings page for meeting dates and links to materials.
